- So has my C-64. It's easy for a computer to stay up that long if you just use
- it to run tried and tested stuff all the time (like running a BBS system or
- internet service).

- ^^^^^^^^^^
- Get with the program, my Amiga does a Warm *BOOT* in less than 15 seconds
- easily (my last timing indicates it was about 12 seconds, of which 4 where
- spend for the reset-cycle). A Cold Boot takes less than 30 seconds (includes
- loading Kickstart 3.0 and two reset-cycles). Which Clone running Win can do
- that, hmmm?
-
- When I go away for a few minutes the Amiga blanks the screen and it is 'ready'
- for use again in about 0.02 seconds when I touch a key or move the mouse. With
- Windows this is more like 10 seconds of HD rattling and the screen gets
- unblanked after 1-2 seconds.
-
- What a great system you have, where even doing simple things like dragging an
- icon, or closing a window causes immense HD access and a general feeling of
- 'wow, look at the difficulty the system has to accomplish such a simple task'.
